[빅데이터뉴스 박경호 기자] Seunghee Ko and Moonyoung Kim have been honored as the silver winners of the UX category at The London Design Awards.

The London Design Awards is facilitated by the International Awards Associate (IAA). IAA oversees 23 design awards globally. The association comprises a judging panel of approximately 200 members and involves around 85,000 people in total.

The London Design Awards 2023 consisted of a total of 10 design categories. A total of 1,237 designers have participated from 30 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and more. In the UX category, 89 participants sought recognition in this competitive awards program.

Seunghee Ko and Moonyoung Kim, graduates with bachelor's degrees in Service Design Engineering, contribute their expertise as professionals at KISS USA, New York. The two designers participated in the London Design Awards with the intent to build international competition experience, placing as silver winners.

Participating in this award, Seunghee Ko and Moonyoung Kim presented the economic education application 'Pocket Garden' for children. The branding of this app received praise for its prominent competitiveness in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). Particularly noteworthy was the detailed design (prototype) proposed, garnering acclaim for its feasibility for actual service development.

Designer Seunghee Ko and Moonyoung Kim shared, "Our aim with Pocket Garden is to bring joy to children through virtual gardening while also offering financial education as a valuable benefit."

Additionally, they shared their insights, stating, "This proved to be an enriching experience, establishing meaningful connections within the international design community."
